Pennsylvania Printers Again Capture Most Federal Government Printing
Chambersburg, PA (ContentDesk) April 13, 2006 -- As in the previous year, Pennsylvania firms are obtaining a higher dollar volume from the Government Printing Office (GPO) than combined printers in other states.Government Printing Sales, a 31-year old firm that successfully increases revenues for printers by providing services to target and win government work, reports that Pennsylvania GPO Contractors obtained a combined $53.9 million dollars in work during the 2005 calendar year.
The types of printing processes range from quick copying to multi-million dollar web and offset projects. Maryland, California, Ohio and Illinois range next respectively.
The state that leapt higher than others from last year's rankings was Connecticut.
Placing 29th in 2004 with a combined $1.8 million in winnings, the State moved to 15th in this year's rankings as companies produced $7.8 million of Federal work.Together, contractors from all 50 states, the District of Columbia, Guam, Puerto Rico, and Canada won a total of $322,177,322 of work, much of this to maximize equipment capacity and increase profits.
